Vegan Detox Black bean brownies

When brownies are good for ya!

I mean when your brownies have black beans, 25 different fruits, veggies and superfoods, are sweetened with coconut sugar and maple syrup and topped with fresh raspberries! Couldn't get healthier this this!

As for the way they taste, I should ask my kids who devoured the whole thing in 24 hours lol

And that's okay with me, you know who wouldn't want their kids to eat beans?!

But they are not only great for kids, using Detox organics superfoods make them a powerhouse of nutrients like dandelion, horseradish, spirulina, wheatgrass, turmeric and much more so you end up eating not just any brownies but superfoods brownies.

(Use "nathaliesader" at checkout if you ever decide to get yourself some Detox Organics, it will give you 15% discount).

I also filmed the making of this recipe (for the first time ever) which was so much fun (and time consuming lol) you can watch it here.

I agree, it is always better to watch a recipe than just reading it, and I hope I will be making more videos in the future.

Here is the detailed recipe, let me know if you try it and if you have any question.

Ingredients:

1/3 cup maple syrup

1 can black beans (approx 1 & 1/3 cups)

4 tbsp coconut oil

1/3 cup coconut sugar

1/2 cup arrowroot flour

1 cup cacao powder

2 tsp baking powder

Pinch of himalayan salt

----------

1 tbsp coconut sugar

1 cup raspberries

Toppings:

more raspberries (1 cup +)

Guidance:

Preheat oven at 350 F.

Grease a brownie pan with some coconut oil and set aside.

In a food processor, add maple syrup, black beans and oil and puree.

Add all the dry ingredients except the raspberries and process until well incorporated, scraping down the sides when necessary and pulsing again.

Transfer the batter to a bowl and fold in 1 cup of raspberries.

Pour the batter into the baking pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.

Sprinkle with 1 tbsp of coconut sugar evenly and decorate with more raspberries.

Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out almost dry.

Let it cool completely.

Add more fresh raspberries (if you are taking pictures), slice and refrigerate until it is time to serve.

Serve with vegan ice cream, coconut whip cream or as is.

Enjoy!
