Detox Vegan Nutella


Chocolate spread! Who in the the world does not feel weak in the knees in front of that creamy luscious chocolaty jar, sitting there, in the fridge or on the counter, waiting innocently for your midnight cravings?

I don't know about you, but this is when I used to totally lose control and fall for that sinful sweetness! Yes, the guilt feeling was huge afterwards! I bet, you too, can relate!

Needless to say how these commercial chocolate spreads are made, this is old news now!

And instead on focusing on the negative aspects of enjoying pleasurable foods such as chocolate, I'd prefer to come up with solutions, like creating a nutritious recipe that supports my body's nutrition needs and still give me all the pleasure!

Who does't like a win-win situation? I surely do!

Today, I am sharing with you a super easy recipe that requires 6 ingredients only, including that pinch of salt and the vanilla extract!

It is made out of soaked raw cashews, raw agave syrup, almond oil and the most nutritious chocolate superfoods that also has detoxifying properties!

Yes, you heard that right, you can still enjoy a delicious, rich, creamy, spreadable chocolate that is super nutritious without compromising the taste!

Here 's how:

 

Ingredients:

1/2 cup raw cashews, soaked overnight

1/4 cup agave syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

small pinch of sea salt

2 tbsp. almond oil (or walnut, cashew, pistcahio, grapeseed oil)

Guidance:

Drain the cashews and place them in a high speed blender (for this recipe, the smaller the blender container the better, or else, you will need to scrape down the sides more often).

Add the agave syrup, vanilla extract, pinch of salt and Detox Organics superfoods, and blend until smooth.

Always be patient with the blending process, it needs 1 to 2 minutes with scraping down the sides, if needed.

Stream in almond oil (or oil of choice) until smooth and glossy!

Taste and adjust seasonings y to taste, you may add a little more vanilla or agave syrup, just don't add too much.

Enjoy on toasts, rice cakes, with your cereal breakfast bowls, your porridge, in your crepes with bananas, on your pancakes ... you name it!

Or you can create these cute canapes, by spreading some of the vegan nutella on rice cakes and adding raspberry on top!
